Trophy
For the third year in a row, the fine folks at the Webby Awards have acknowledged 5 Blogs Before Lunch. In 2006 we won the jury prize for Best Blog--Business; in 2007 we were an Official Honoree; and this year we have been again selected as a finalist for top honors.

The Webby Awards are handed out by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and is the most prestigious honor in internet circles. The New York Times has dubbed them the "Oscars of the Internet"."

Of over 10,000 entrants to the prestigious awards, only five blogs are acknowledged as nominees in the Best Blog--Business category. The nomination puts 5 Blogs Before Lunch up for winning the Webby Award, juried prize and/or The Webby People's Voice Award. Both awards will be announced on May 6. The two winners attend the awards ceremony in New York, and are allowed to deliver the famous 5 word acceptance speech.

The Ad Feed Now Blogs Before Lunch

Title
5 Blogs Before Lunch is now included in the advertising and marketing aggregator site "The Ad Feed." The Ad Feed, started by a Toronto-based freelance art director and self-described adnut named Travis, features headlines from Advertising Age, AdWeek, AdRants, AdFreak, American Copywriter, PSFK, MIT Advertising Lab, Adverblog, ClickZ, Seth Godin's Blog and more.

"I created The Ad Feed because I don't have enough time anymore to go through the over 200 feeds I'm subscribed to and not miss some great creative and insights." says Travis. "The Ad Feed is a way for me to present the best of the best in an easily digestible format. It solved my problem which many other people just so happened to share."

Travis says that "Being only one month old, there's still plenty in store for The Ad Feed that will help grow it's userbase as well as those of each of the featured feeds."

And why include 5 Blogs Before Lunch? "I've been a fan and subscriber of your blog for years, well, months maybe."--thanks Travis.

Travis also runs a number of online experiments/ventures under what he calls "One Egg Per Basket".
