Google is sponsoring a "Young Innovators Award" created by the Advertising Club. They're looking for Excellence in Advertising and Marketing from Individuals under 30 in New York/Tri-State Area.
The purpose of the award is to "bring attention to and reward those of the millennial generation and to provide an incentive to young people to reach for business success even in a difficult economy."
Innovators may self-nominate for the award by posting a 2-3 minute video to the Club’s YouTube channel. Videos will be viewed by a jury of advertising executives and Ad Club board members. Winners will receive a $5,000 top prize, with runner's up receiving dinner with an Ad Club board member.
Submissions will be accepted through September 12. Sadly, the Club has elected to only accept local entrants (in the New York area). We're not sure why the restriction, but hopefully they will expand once they realize that innovation can come from anywhere, and their YouTube channel reaches beyond the Tri-State Area.
