One Laptop Per Child Turns To Advertising To Get Its Message Out: “Give a Laptop. Get a Laptop. Change the World.”

24laptop.650.1 Television ad time, billboard space and magazine pages are being donated by media companies, including the News Corporation, CBS and Time Warner to help promote One Laptop Per Child.

For $399, a person can donate an XO laptop and also receive one. The effort to place low-cost laptops in the hands of children in developing nations.Donors can also simply donate $199, to give a child a laptop, at www.amazon.com/xo.
