A Few Ideas from the Idea Conference
I did not have a chance to go to this year's IDEA conference in New York. Work schedules (and travel budgets) prohibited it.
But, Advertising Age gave a nice review of some of the IDEA highlights. Here are nine items to consider:
- Innovative brands share three commitments: Beauty + performance + sustainability = awesome
- To create a successful enterprise, deconstruct, then build
- All designs go on the wall, no matter how early-stage
- Give away your shoes: Giving is a great business strategy
- In the future, there's going to be a blurring of what is/is not personal property
- Be eco-friendly, make stuff out of garbage
- Just steal it. A good inventor doesn't re-invent the wheel
- Just leak it. Knock-offs are the greatest form of flattery
- Milton Friedman was wrong
