A Few Ideas from the Idea Conference

Idea-countdown-logo I did not have a chance to go to this year's IDEA conference in New York. Work schedules (and travel budgets) prohibited it.

But, Advertising Age gave a nice review of some of the IDEA highlights. Here are nine items to consider:

  1. Innovative brands share three commitments: Beauty + performance + sustainability = awesome
  2. To create a successful enterprise, deconstruct, then build
  3. All designs go on the wall, no matter how early-stage
  4. Give away your shoes: Giving is a great business strategy
  5. In the future, there's going to be a blurring of what is/is not personal property
  6. Be eco-friendly, make stuff out of garbage
  7. Just steal it. A good inventor doesn't re-invent the wheel
  8. Just leak it. Knock-offs are the greatest form of flattery
  9. Milton Friedman was wrong
