CPK Is Encouraging Return Visits With A "Mystery Envelope" Promotion

CpkCalifornia Pizza Kitchen (CPK) has just started a new marketing promotion designed to encourage repeat visitors.

They're handing out almost 2 million thank you cards to customers dining at their full service restaurants across the nation. Each party will receive an envelope with their check which contains a guaranteed prize, ranging from 10% off a meal to $25,000.

The repeat visit angle: The mystery promotion requires you to come back to the restaurant at a later date, and ask a CPK manager to personally open the envelope to reveal the prize. The company says that every company-owned CPK full-service restaurant expects to have hundreds of winners.
