Charmin Brands Public Toilets in NYC. Branded Reps Dressed as Toilets and Time Square Billboards Promote "Going in style"

Forget taking the kids to see Santa this season, go to the Charmin Ultra Public Toilet and have your child's picture taken with the Charmin Bear!

Procter & Gamble is opening a public restroom in New York City's Times Square where it is putting rolls of its Charmin Ultra toilet tissue to the ultimate test. The toilets will be open for "business" through Dec 31, 2006.

Promo Magazine suggests that: "The 20-stall restroom can't be missed by any of the millions of visitors to the area. A huge branded billboard that reads: "You're in New York. Go in style." Shows the word restrooms next to a large arrow pointing to the facilities."

A six-foot-tall Charmin bear will be on hand in a lounge area to take photos with visitors. Branded reps will hit the streets dressed as toilets to pass out information about the restrooms. The event will also be promoted at local airports.
