Millennials Now Out-Number Baby Boomers. Now What?

Millennials_1The Millennial Generation now number 79 million. That's one million more than the Baby Boomers. This massive generation, currently aged 9-28 years-old are now potent consumers, requiring unique marketing strategies and tactics to reach them.

These are not passive consumers who sit down after supper to watch TV before they go to bed. These are active consumers who believe they should be in control of their media consumption. Additionally, this is the multitasking generation, having grown up using multiple media platforms at the same time. Reports are that Millennials consume 20 hours of media a day, all devoured during only 7 clock hours of time. Marketers need to understand viewing habits more than ever, and treat multiple media, and roadblocking strategies as the expected norm.
